Can ne1 tell me why there is no interest in a live broadcast of the NHSP, highway patrol and local PD's? I spend a lot of time and $ updating my site yet it seems the only people interested are the freakin log on, log off idiots. (of which I am forced to ban) Is there an abundance of digital online NH scanners out there? I don't do this for fun but it seems as though my efforts are going by the wayside.

Give me some feedback, Should I call it a day and stop wasting my time?

I live in South Florida for the season (the opposite of the season in the North) and come home to MA/NH in June.
I am from Northern Massachusetts and have worked (as a musician) in Conway, Lincoln and Whitefield and from 1988 to 1998 owned a condo in Glen.

I miss listening to the NH SP and some of the local departments.
The reason you may not get a great number of visitors or interested listeners is that I don't think there many people FROM NH that listen to the scanner when living somewhere else or on the road.

Personally, about your site, I prefer to listen to the NH SP only and find the local towns and Hillsborough Sheriffs very, very distracting.
Also, I tend to listen to online scanners late at night (usually after midnight) and find that your scanner is most often offline at that time.

I would be glad to donate to your website if your scanner was on overnight, and if you might occasionally consider running the SP only.
I know that seems like blackmail, but it really isn't.

I would LOVE to listen to the SP late at night.

Let me know what you think.

Fair enough. I guess it makes sense things could become a bit confusing without having the benefit of seeing the alpha tags. The pro 96 scanner I am using does not allow me to broadcast those. I see no problem in limiting the scan to the SP, however I will still monitor my home town PD. That shouldn't be much of an issue as I live in Weare and the PD shuts down at 9:00 pm I think. As far as late night, I will try to start a little earlier in the week, typically I run straight thru the weekend but will start on Thurs instead of Fri. If interest increases, so will broadcast times. Sound good?

No alpha tags can be a challenge, but I can recognize the various voices by now (I'm used to monitoring without seeing the tags anyhow).

I personally only listen when I'm away... otherwise I can listen live, on my own radio. Interesting what "dic" said... I, for example, find Hillsborough County of PRIMARY interest (and find TroopB of interest only during specific incidents).

Not having the feed available 24x7 makes it hard to know when it'll be on. When I travel, I travel all over... so MY time to listen might be earlier or later than when you're feed is up.

Interesting POV......................

I'm actually thinking about buying a scanner that is capable of alpha tags. I have the ability to create multiple pages which can display alpha. Who here, would be willing to donate $2.00-$3.00 per month to keep the site up and running 24/7?

Not trying to make $, just to pay for the feed.

D Sounds good to me.
I would be happy to donate to your site, and to pay a couple of bucks for monthly expenses. I will not be home in MA until late June , so that would be GREAT!

I do not want to cut Peter out of the Merrimack SO, so I have a suggestion:
If Peter listens only when he is on the road, perhaps he might let you know (through this forum) when he is travelling and plug that/those frequencies back in while he is travelling.

Peter,
I lived in Carroll County for 10 years and know the ids, numbers and most of the county from memory.
I find it difficult to process Merrimack SO without knowing where anything is.

I understand about Troop B, I don't find them that interesting myself, but at least I know the roads and exits. I DO enjoy listening to the late night highway antics.

D, I would like to ask a couple of questions about what you can receive from your location:
You receive Troop E and F clearly?
Can you receive the Carroll SO and Grafton SO?
Do you have the 462.45 patch for the SP?

Let's stay in touch, I would be glad to contribute.

More times than not, Troops E and F are just fine. Occasionally they can be a bit noisy. Never tried Carroll or Grafton. That is a hike and a half from my house so my guess would be doubtfull. Both 462.45 and 467.45 are in, just never heard anything on either one. I live in a deep valley in East Weare, even with two co-phased Yagi antennas mounted on my roof, I cannot get above the tree line. SP are moving the comm. center to Concord soon. With the repeaters necessary to do that, I should be able to pick up Stewartstown.

Thanks D.

Bill, I have monitored both 462 and 467 for years and I can count on 1 hand the number of times I heard something on 467. Didn't that repeat 155.910?

The comm center will soon be in Concord?
BOOOOOO!
No dispatch out of Twin Mountain anymore?

I have been in love with the voice one of the Troop F midnight female dispatchers since 1990.

I called years ago to report a dead moose on Route 302 and she answered with her name. I have forgotten her name but I looked at the NHSP Annual Report back then and there were two female dispatchers, and I never figured out which one it was.

Please tell me BEFORE the Troop F dispatch closes, I want to record her voice.

You should be able to connect. Please make sure I didn't ban you by mistake. What is your IP?

I don't want your money order. I want people who are interested in listening to a NH scanner. If I decide to go 24/7 then perhaps a little help with the AC bill only. I am thinking about dedicating my laptop to a scanner capable of alpha tags so you can see what you hear. I listen every nite, so you all need me to tell what u want.
