For anyone in the NE PA/Western NJ area, you may be interested to know that the New Hope and Ivyland RR (a mainly tourist line) has transitioned to NXDN, AAR 475. (Actually, I think they made the move a few months back.)

I believe they currently interline with CSX, and their website shows transloading capabilities from truck to rail and vice versa. So apparently some freight is getting moved along with a lot of weekend passengers.

There was some talk a while ago about the NHIRR running commuters down to interline with SEPTA, but that apparently fizzled out. Maybe somebody in the area knows what actually happened (or didn’t happen with this)?

If you’re in the area, check it out as it’s a nice little trip (sometimes with steam) thru the PA countryside, especially in the fall and spring.

(Full disclosure, I have absolutely nothing to do with the NHIRR, just an occasional passenger).

Have you submitted this to the database (Pennsylvania Railroads)?
