Anyone notice that New Haven PD ch 1 460.100 is no longer being used. Haven't heard anything there in over a week. It was always quite active with warrent checks and MV registration checks and stuff like that.

Many times, because of many book-offs, they close the "I-S5" portion & all DMV checks are done via MDT. Some tows are being sent from the respective Dispatcher (via a DA (call taker)). Each console up there has access to COLLECT/NCIC. Warrant checks are still being heard over F1 & Detectives hardly use F1 any longer, they are on their respective channels depending on what area they are in. I do not believe the Detective Bureau "desk" (I-200) exists any longer. When I was there, we would dispatch all shootings, robberies & even bank hold up alarms etc over F1 & whatever channel (F2 or F3) the incident was happening.

I don't think its gone digital at all. They are just not using it and I'm wondering if its all being done on the patrol car's computer as far as license checks and warrant stuff. Also it means one less body to man the radio. Ch 1 was always very active, and it is now dead silence.

I have about two or three regular users on here that would have immediately submitted the change if New Haven PD1 went P25.
..
I've seen nothing.

Why would they only go digital on ch 1 when the analog reception on ch 2 and 3 is the worst ever? I don't think so.
O.K., very, very recently I heard 42 call in to"radio" inquiring whether IS5 is available. The dispatcher replied, "No one is available at IS5, but I'll check to see if someone is available for you". This was 2137hours. My contact at the bureau said that IS5 is not a primary for them.
