NJ State PD - new to the hobbie

Newbie here. Uniden sds100. Reference the new P25 NJSP radio system. What is the best way to scan the NJSP system if you are outside of the Troop coverage area you are interested in listening to? Is there a simulcast system available in the uploads of the SDS100? Thanks for your help.

If you aren’t in reception range of a site carrying the traffic you are interested in you’re beat. NJSP traffic definitely seems to carry on more sites than local traffic but YMMV. If you’re totally out of range, use Broadcastify or calls right here on RR.

Iv noticed since the new system is full capacity and the old system is shutdown iv noticed the reception is offer I’m in moorstown nj near the nj moorstown mall nj am I out of transmitter site / Berlin site I’m wondering if that’s the issue my location is I’m at the pleasent Vally apartments on Camden avenue in moorstown nj

Although there are some dead zones, you should be able to pick up at least one site from almost anywhere throughout the state. Look at the list of Site locations for NJICS and just program in the one closest to your location.

If you attach your favorites list, we can take a look at it and check for problems. Go to the File tab in Sentinel and click on Export to hpe file (Favorites List). You will need to zip the exported file to be able to attach it. Click on Attach files and open the zipped file.

I have the sds100 it’s shows the data display sometimes but not all the time maybe my scanner is broken I don’t have access to a computer to down load the sentienal I’m using my iPhone to type
