Hello,
I have just acquired an iCOM R8600 and, following instructions on the iCOM site, have added the HDSDR software on a win10-64 computer. I have a lot to learn here, but so far things seem to be working except with HDSDR there is no audio coming from the computer speakers on AM. On the AM (Air) band I get no audio but when switching to the FM mode I get lots of background noise. It thus seems that the speakers are working so I must have some parameter not set correctly.
The R8600 works correctly on AM and the computer speakers work correctly when using the computer for other tasks. The HDSDR screen seems to show the correct frequencies, blips and waterfall as it should--just no sound on AM mode. I have tried other USB cables and ports with no luck. Since I am learning this very complicated (maybe I should say sophisticated) radio, I'm certain I have something set incorrectly either on the radio or the software.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
