Welp, out of the blue my SDS100 stopped outputting audio. The internal speaker does work, i took it apart and tested it. The ext speaker jack does have audio output, but only enough to drive a pair of headphones. Anyone know where the Audio IC is on this board? I just got this thing back in June when it stopped turning on. Man, great radio plauged with issues..... Very frustrating!

It has a 1 year warranty, send it in for repair.

For some reason I believe the 90 day repair warranty only covers the initial repair. I could be wrong and hope in your case I am but seem to remember that response when I questioned them before sending mine in for the hum and a bum volume encoder.

That’s unfortunate. I’m sending it out (2nd time) again today. These scanners are poorly engineered. It’s a shame.

Probably dirt in the earphone jack is not passing audio to the speaker. Run an earphone plug in and out a few times.

I don't believe that foreign substance is part of the engineering spec but should be removed. ;)
