WS1025: No audio out of the box

My WS1025 has no audio. The speaker pops slightly when I power it on, but that's it. The screen works. I can see the signal bar is active when I adjust the squelch, and it scans through frequencies.

I called Whistler, but the message says to email as they are moving facilities. I did that and got no response.

Is this a known issue that can be fixed? I'm not thrilled about having to ship it back.

There are contacts that break the speaker connection when plugging in headphones. If you have contact spray, try spraying it into the headphone jack and then plug and unplug headphones numerous times. It may be dirty contacts on the headphone jack. If that doesn't do it, the contacts may need adjusting.
