BCD325P2/BCD996P2: No DMR

Hello, I have the 996P2 that I let a family member use? I reloaded the the program from RR, but I cannot get the DMR channels to work. All I have are conventional channels. It has been upgraded for the DMR, Firmware 1.08.01. Thanks for the help,

Be more specific about the app you used - ProScan, ARC-XT or FreeScan? Note that FreeScan doesn't support DMR

Sorry, I'm using ARC-XT, 378Z scanner, SUM=18A, using Uniden comm 4, on program. The radio has all the channels there, it's just the DMR are not working.

Did you purchase the DMR upgrade via my.uniden.com, and then enter the purchased upgrade key into the radio itself?

Does ARC-XT have the same capability as FreeScan, to turn off import of certain service tags? That might be one reason you're not seeing your DMR stuff....Mike

Palmetto 800 is P25. Are you referring to the conventional channels in Greenville and Laurens Counties that are DMR?

No, I can't get them to pickup, they are loaded, just not coming up, Palmetto 800 P25

If I am understanding you correctly, if they are loaded but not scanned, you must add Quick Keys for those 2 areas. Then they should be scanned.

You'll want to read those. The Palmetto 800 is a statewide P25 trunking system. DMR is another digital format. Looking over the two counties in question, Greenville lists a few conventional DMR frequencies and Laurens lists none.

The two formats can be trunked or conventional. But they are two different types of digital formats.

Quick Keys not being assigned should never prevent scanning. Perhaps those Systems/Departments/Channels are locked out.

I'm still trying to figure out if we are talking DMR or P25.

Trunked... but ok. I was confused by your Palmetto 800 reference which is a P25 system. Whatever department you put those channels in, hold on a channel and scroll over till you look through every channel. Do you see the channel in question?

Yes, I see all the channels that are not scanning,

When you are stopped on the channel in question. Do you see AVOID anywhere on the screen lit up?

Then it "should" be scanning. It's not locked out. There's no avoids present. And you see the channel therefore the qk's (if any) are activated.

What lets you know that it isn't "scanning"?
