Actually to say that Greenville has no DMR is not entirely accurate. They have a small hospital system, and a couple of what appear to be one frequency trunk frequencies on the database page.

In addition, both counties have sites on the Trbomax system

That's true, but he doesn't have any of that programmed in.

I would say so depending on where you actually are. I think you mentioned that you used an external antenna as well. You're using Control Channel only, which should be fine.

Here is something you can do. These are the control channels for the Green County Simulcast
0853.262500
0853.537500
0853.750000
0853.862500

And these are the control channels for Laurens County,

0858.812500
0859.862500
0860.812500

Program those in as conventional P25 channels and see if you can hear the "buzz" from the data channels. If you can, then you SHOULD be able to receive the trunk traffic. If you can't then it's possibly a reception problem.

Can you hear the Laurens and Greenville conventional systems you have programmed in?

So the scanner should scan what I have programmed?

Sorry for the late response, I tore my right achilles tendon, surgery the 24th. I loaded those control channels and it checked, we are so close to Laurens County it overrides the channels I have programmed, so yes a reception problem and programming, Thanks

Sorry about your Achilles Tendon, I hope it heals well.

From what you're saying the Laurens County Simulcast is overloading the scanner?
