If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hello everyone
I have a problem operating a HYTERA RD625 retransmitter with the accessory connector to a phone patch.
(The repeater works very well between portable radios).

When I transmit via the accessory connector (PTT pin 16), the audio reception output becomes muted (Audio RX SLOT 1 pin 24)
Only my TX audio works well (pin 7)

Parameters :
General setting / priority: path priority = PTT
request PTT priority = external PTT Repeat
Request Priority = local repeating Digital

Common / basic: (to avoid TX audio opening delay time at the start of external PTT)
group call hang time = 0.0
private etc. = 0.0
emergency etc = 0.0

The strange thing is that several years ago, I installed dozens of RD625s in DUPLEX on the accessory connector with the parameters above. The device I am trying to program is one of the last ones manufactured (RD625 no longer manufactured) and may be different ?

According to a colleague, the reception cutoff would not be due to audio switching after the CODEC to the RX AF SLOT 1 accessory connector. But to the cutting of the power supply to the entire receiver !!! (the green LED goes out even if we receive) In other words, the RD 625 would now only work in half duplex via the accessory connector.

If you have an idea, thank you very much

What settings do you have in conventional / general / accessories / priority control?
I have never used this repeater, the RD982 has a phone priority enable box, path and PTT options.

Thank's

a priori, the programming of the RD625 uses the same type of CPS as the RD982.
I solved the problem, Duplex works.
In the priorities, at "Path priority" you should not use "PTT Request" but "Repeat request".
The particularity is that the retransmitter does not have priority compared to the mobiles. The mobiles cut off the transmitter's voice.

With "PTT priority", the RD625 must be used in half-duplex, as a remote-controlled radio base. No reception on audio output slot 1 when the RD625 PTT is activated..
A particularity of Duplex programming is that the outgoing Carrier detect information does not work on the accessory connector.
it is possible to obtain "carrier" info by adding an optocoupler 4N35 in parallel with the green diode of the RD625 (add a 100 Ohms in series with the LED diode of the optocoupler)

To avoid delay in audio opening when the RD625's PTT is activated, these tempos must be set to zero.

Important information about the RD62X accessory connector
This connector allows you to power accessories with 13V / 1.5A max, but there is a problem.

If a current > 16 mA is consumed on the accessory connector PIN 4 at the time of power-up, the diode D6019 will permanently block the transistor Q6003 and there will be no power source available on pin 4 !

test pin 4/GND : R 820 Ohms, 16 mA : OK 13,4V
test pin 4 /GND : R 773 Ohms, 17 mA = No Power

If you want to use the accessory connector to power an accessory equipment (remote control, phone patche etc.) you must use a time delay of several seconds before using current on the accessory connector ( Or supply the equipment separately )
