I am working on a friend's scanner in which the Power Button will not power up the PSR-800.
Following the procedure to upgrade the CPU works. Setting the clock also works through the EZ Scan software. I am also able to upload by scan list and configuration data to the radio.
Someone had mentioned a capacitor that holds the time. I'm thinking that maybe this cap is also used to get things rolling when the button is pressed. Does anyone know which capacitor and possibly the chip that would manage this?
