Sorry for not responding to this earlier.

Rich and Gordon both lobbied this weekend for us to start to host these feeds, and along with feedback from some of the broadcasters who have provided these feeds to Wunderground, I've gone ahead and approved a policy allowing these feeds.

Previously, I haven't seen the value in providing NOAA Weather Radio feeds, but I've been convinced that there is an audience. So, I've updated the feed provider terms of service.

If you want to provide a NOAA Weather Radio feed and/or move a previous feed to the Broadcastify platform, please see http://www.broadcastify.com/broadcast to get started.

Thanks for everyone's feedback.

In a future update to broadcastify.com's front end interface under "Browse Feeds", would it be possible to add in a "Weather" or "WX" link (ex; Broadcastify - Listen Live to Police, Fire, EMS, Aviation, and Rail Audio Feeds )?

I'd then assume it'd end up to the left of Other and to the right of Marine.

That would require a new feed genre being created and all existing weather feeds to be moved from "Other" to "Weather". Although it would be a nice feature, I don't think it's really a priority. There are not many feeds listed in the "Other" category, so weather feeds should be easy to find when sorted.

To be quite frank I wouldn't create a separate category, just RELABEL the "Other" to "Other/WX"/ Problem solved! I don't know how many people are going to provide weather feeds. If enough people provide feeds then yes make a separate tab just for weather feeds.

NOAA WX Coverage - Thank You

To Lindsay, Rich, Gorden and senior RR, Broadcastify staff and those who contributed here in the forums section. Thank you for indeed listening and then "Taking all things in to serious consideration, and having had that important, timely and careful revisit, review and reconsideration on on covering NOAA WX radio via live feed(s) here at Broadcastify."
Now going forward with their implementation! I hope their coverage will give additional notice and positive exposure to Broadcastify and Radio Reference. Great team work guys:D!

NOAA Weather Radio - New York City - KWO 35

Hello Everyone,

I am a current feed provider here in Northern New Jersey, I provide the feed for the Borough of North Arlington Police, Fire, EMS and mutual aid.

I provided the NOAA Weather Feed on The Weather Underground for KWO-35 New York for years.
recently the feed was discontinued by The Weather Underground.

This week I received a call from the National Weather Service, Upton, NY requesting that we put the
feed back online, I now come to find out the we can now host the feed on Broadcastify.

I have made a request to add the feed on my current account, as soon as I get approval
I will get my IT people back here to get it up and on the air.

Knowing that these new NOAA Weather Radio Feeds will be in the capable hands of Broadcastify
I am sure they will be much more stable as The Weather Underground had ZERO support once the
feeds were up and running.

Thank You for allowing Weather Radio feeds on Broadcastify it's a great public service.

NWS Cooperative Weather Observer - Station HSNN4 - Harrison, NJ

Tony,

Good luck with the WX feed, it will fill a void in our area.

Perhaps my post in this forum back on 02-22-2017, 8:53 PM along with other members posting indeed had Lindsay and Senior RR/Broadcastify re-visit the subject and they decided to reverse policy and go forward with hosting WX feeds.
I am glad they reconsidered policy and if I have not stated it past, a very big Thank You for indeed "listening" and approving.
