OK..splendid..Its an INPUT...
But What would I use it for..

You seem to have done well correcting
me, but neglected to get the point of the
question..

nooelec page quote...
optional clock injection from an external clock source,
should a higher-accuracy clock be desired...

That explanation from the nooelec page aint
clarifying the matter..

Using a more precise clock aka oscillator ensures you have a more precise tuning circuit, basically - if you're not already familiar with the concept or the purpose then it won't have all that much effect on your use of the converter overall anyway but the feature is there to be used if you do find a need for it at a later time as you gain more experience/knowledge/etc.

Cheaper clock circuits are prone to drift, meaning that not only is the actual tuned frequency not the one you set, but it changes over time. This is especially annoying when tuning single-sideband signals, where a small change in the actual frequency makes a big difference in the pitch of the decoded signal.

Thanks ..that makes it far clearer..
now for SSB...is it connected to
receiving digital data?..its not
applicable to say analog voice/data
traffic..

Wut? SSB is for analog voice. It seems like you're worrying about things that have no bearing on your use of the device. External clock input - you won't use it. SSB - if you monitored SSB transmissions, you'd know what SSB was...

Wow slicer...
Since when did seeking knowledge put a bug in your bonnet...

You ought not Worry...About what You perceive as me worrying..
when Im just asking questions..

Stop pretending I should know better..
like your some walking knowledge base of perfection..put it back in
your trousers and check yourself. Or post a scan of your platinum
stamped certificate from BetterThanYou - U..

You offered no forward movement..I only pause to wipe the
excrement off my boot...
