Need to get an NMO mount professionally installed -- i.e. by drilling a hole -- in a Tacoma. Anyone have recommendations?

I'd just do it myself. :p

There are several people around here that can do that (I don't know if I'd call it professional or not, but I think they look pretty good). We're having our OKC scanner meeting tomorrow evening if you can make it. I'm sure there will be someone there that could help you...

I appreciate the offer, but it's my wife's truck. I was surprised that she even suggested a real hole mount, so I really need it to be a professional installer! Life or death, you understand .... mine! :)

Well, if you want to be technical about it...

Merriam Webster Dictionary said:
2 a : participating for gain or livelihood in an activity or field of endeavor often engaged in by amateurs <a professional golfer> b : having a particular profession as a permanent career <a professional soldier> c : engaged in by persons receiving financial return <professional football>

...I'll take pay to do it, since apparently that's about the only real difference between non-professional and professional!! I could call this a "permanent" hobby career, and while the FCC doesn't allow amateurs to charge for radio service, I'm sure they don't mind us charging for installs or other work-related things...

I've seen some pretty awful installs done by "professionals" because they don't take pride in their work. When you really want it done right, you need someone obsessed with it.

I have 4, fixing to be 6. Mark the spot, use the right tool. Slow and steady and it is a sure shot.
