This is unexpected - i haven't monitored them in awhile. So it's confirmed that they are operating in digital? Are they encrypted?

Thanks

They are digital - as for the enc, I can't tell because the signal is too weak to get here in Branchburg on my 396, I had to use my FT-7800 to confirm that it, at least, was digital.

460.1750 MHz R (PL 114.8 Hz) is still analog (from what I've read) and will be used by the DPW in the future. Check the DB for the two new P25 PD frequencies.

North Brunswick P25 Compliant

Ladies & Gentlemen...

Yes, North Brunswick PD is operating in the digital P25 open mode at the present time on 502.38750 MHz. I have positively identified it by my BC296D. I will be montoring for the next few hours back & fourth. Make a note for your records and update, where applicable.

Thank GOD it's in the open. I already added the 2 channels to my 396 & pulled 460.175 out of my 7800, FT-60, & VX-6...

The database entries for NB are accurate. The only thing that hasn't quite occurred yet is RWJUH-SPUH EMS units switching over to the new channel. NBFARS has.

The switch happened just about the time I submitted it to the database here. They've been testing for several months.

Do you mean that MedCentral will be switching off of JEMS, "Citywide", and VHF in general?

No, this is for North Brunswick Township, not MedCentral. RWJUH-SPUH EMS units communicating with NB, like 781 and MR-1 and MR-3, were recently still using the old channel. They should be reprogrammed for the new NB EMS one in the near future.

NBFAS is still alerted on JEMS 1. It's unknown whether they'll stay there or move that to the new channel as well.
