Hi i am new to scanning but just wanted to no if anyone could help me out with the police and emergency service frequencies from Townsville north. I have a couple police frequencies from Townsville that work but as i travel up and down the coast would like more around Townsville and north to cooktown . The ones on this site do not seem to work and there is not many for that area . Would like to also find the little towns in between. Gives me something diffrent to listen to while on the road . Thanks .

Hello Rusty, this is a great place to start ACMA Register of Radiocommunications Licences (RRL) have a look around you can search using various methods such as location, frequency range etc. Have fun!

Best bet and what I usually do is just load up the ACMA Map, add in filters to QPS client number, and zoom around where I'm going

QPS changed form the old 128 channel plan to frequencies in the Harmonious Government Spectrum (HGS) a couple of years back. Most of the state other than, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunny Coast and Toowoomba are on the HGS analogue system. Most use for QPS is above Channel 112 using every 2nd channel...
