North Tower

It's been a while since I turn on my scanner .But does anyone know if there is any other tracker number for the south tower .I know thy were shutting down the north tower .But I am have a hard time getting a good clear sound off it .Does anyone know when the other tower is going to be done or is the south tower the only tower.

I just got back in town to find the old north tower control channel gone. For the main system control channels use the ones listed. 858.4875 being the main channel, however they have been using others. I live in Cornelius and hear the main system loud and clear.

Thanks Jon for your help .I have that channal .It look like when it is sunny it sound great .When it raining there is alot of nose .Sound always changes when the weather changes .Thanks for your help .If anyone has any other info please let me know .Also does anyone know what channal does charlotte police chopper work on .

I don't think they have a talkgroup to themselves. I think they are dispatched in their "home" area. (one of the Adam talkgroups) then switch to the appropriate mission talkgroup (I hope that make since). They can also be heard on Charlotte Tower 118.1 as they take off and 123.05 sometime talking w/ other area choppers.

I heard the Helo unit called on Adam 5 to switch to Charlie 1 for assistance tonight. I'm not sure if they always monitor that group or not.

Snoopy normally works off of Adam 5. They will switch around as needed for coverage, but dispatch will usually call for them on Adam 5.
