11-year-old Missing from Area of Gallop Lane Located in Good Condition
Loudoun County, VA- The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has located a missing 11-year-old boy who was last seen at his home Friday afternoon on Gallop Lane north of Purcellville, VA. The child is in good condition.
The child left his residence on his own accord around 4:30PM Friday. On Friday and Saturday, members of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team conducted aerial and ground searches for the child. Aerial support was provided by the Maryland State Police and the Fairfax County Police Department. Reverse 911 messages were also sent to homes within the immediate area of where the child was reported missing. Members of the community also assisted in the search.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank our regional partners for their assistance in the search, including the Fairfax County Police Department Bloodhound Unit and the Virginia State Police Bloodhound Unit.
The child was located a short distance from his home and is being taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
