LCSO is currently searching for a bi-polar teen. Ops on Round Hill Tac 1. The new Fairfax Co helicopter (N211FX) is enroute to help. I'm tracking it with an Airnav Radarbox and will be able to see exactly where it goes.

Fairfax-1 (N211FX) radio ID on the Loudoun system is 3164217

01/03/12
1630 hrs.
2015 hrs.
Area of 36000 block of Snickersville Tpke.
Purcellville
Missing Person: Deputies responded to the area for a report of an adult male who has a medical condition and had been missing for several hours. Members of the Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team responded to the area with aerial support from the Fairfax County Police Department. The missing male was later located deceased on the property and does not appear to be a victim of foul play.
C2012-000182

This kind of goes along with what I was hearing around 2340-0000. I wasn't sure but had a suspension that he was found deceased. One deputy stated family members were some how able to get through the perimeter to get to him.

Fairfax-1 is on the west side of Leesburg right now apparently helping with something. Anyone with a TDMA-capable scanner listening and know what's happening?

2250- Or maybe not because now they're leaving after doing a few circles and chatting with Aircare-3 while flying over the airport.

Some sort of incident going on near Fair Oaks Mall. K9s, negotiators, Fairfax-1, Eagle-1, etc are involved. Comms on the Sully/Fair Oaks channel.

Sounds more like its happening at courthouse parking garage. Suspect is threatening to kill himself if the cops go near a certain vehicle.

1709- Suspect is giving them 20 minutes.
Claims that a vehicle is rigged to explode.

1739- Park PD helo is being released. Fairfax-1 has returned from refueling.
Some comms have moved to PD TA 1 (16640) which is encrypted.
Fairfax-1 is in contact with ATC on 125.8. They will be 2500ft in order to be out of gun range.

RID 42806 for Eagle-1 for anyone that wants to know.

It's been out mostly all day, with a few periods of activity. I'm picking up a foot chase at the Parkway & Minnieville over sweeper search.

Loudoun dispatching for a house fire at 27180 Gum Spring Rd. Multiple calls and believed to be a working event. Fairfax and Prince William units also being dispatched. Ops on 6D.

The house is about 1000ft from the road so water is an issue.
1602- A tanker task force is being started. One female occupant will be treated for smoke inhalation.

Both LCFR and LCSO on-line scanners are silent, but police and fire have been dispatched to 20261 Dairy Lane in Sterling for a "Bomb Threat or Device". A total of Seven Fire Marshals have been dispatched and the Loudoun County Tactical Respone vehicle was spotted on Route 7.

Anybody know more details about what's going on at Rt28/Rt606? Seems a little more involved for just a multi-vehicle wreck. LCSO has set up a command post on Rt28 soutbound before Rt606. Traffic is being rerouted. Fatal wreck?

Grenade Discovered in Vehicle Deemed Harmless

Route 28 was closed in both directions near Route 606 Wednesday evening after what was believed to be a grenade was located inside a vehicle involved in a property damage accident.

Around 6:25PM March 14th Loudoun County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a rear-end collision in the northbound lanes of Route 28. As personnel were clearing the scene, a Loudoun County Volunteer Fire Fighter observed what appeared to be a grenade in one of the vehicles involved in the accident.

As a precaution, Route 28 was shutdown in both directions and the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office coordinated with Loudoun County Fire-Rescue, the Loudoun County Bomb Squad and the Loudoun County Fire Marshal’s Office to investigate the device.

The item was determined to be a replica grenade and was deemed harmless.

Route 28 was reopened in both directions shortly after 9:30PM.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation and further details will be released as they become available.

Loudoun units are tracking a Lojack signal (173.075) in the center of the county. Ops on Brambleton Tac 1. A CID unit on Evergreen Mills Rd thinks the signal is coming from west of Watson Rd.

I think it might just be training.
