Fun stuff... it's a challenge to confirm that faint NDB signal that underlies the stronger one(s) on the same frequency.

There are those too. There was one further up the dial at the time I recorded this one. On 344kHz, "XX" out of Abbotsford, BC was almost as strong as "FCH" out of Fresno, Ca.
That might have made a more interesting video-I should have included that one.
Anyway it's so cool to me that the ol'man Opus can still do LW. To catch a LW broadcast on this radio of some music from overseas would be gold.

You're probably not going to have a lot of luck getting a broadcast station on LW, Allouis in France will be your best bet, 2 MegaWatts on 162kHz, or Nador, Morocco on 171kHz, another 2 Megawatter.

Wanna try for something difficult.... :)

This NDB should be a good launch site for you, it's almost in the water and a high power tx,
