Now a more powerful solution than using a Pi.

So after playing with a Raspberry Pi / RTLSDR combo for a while even with a low resource SDR program it was sub par. Well there is a much more powerful single board linux computer out now that I just ordered that should be able to handle the cheapo dongles and SDR much more reliably. I have NOT received mine yet but I will update once I get it in and play with it. But so far everything looks much more promising than using a raspberry pi.

I don't know about everyone else but when I have a software development need, the very last thing at the bottom of my list I would consider is a guy or the company he represents popping up unannounced in an unrelated thread on a hobby web site. Especially when it's their first posting!

Ok, after thinking about this for a minute I take back what I just said. Instead I'll say the said poster is not even on the list so they can't even be at the bottom. Kinda like those pesky telemarketer retirement planning people who call you outta nowhere and want you to trust them with your life savings. Yea, right. Good luck with that.

There are plenty of single board computers out there much more powerful then the R-PI.

The main disadvantage to these as is with the Olimex board you linked is VGA output.

The R-PI has composite video and HDMI output. While the HDMI may be arguably not such a big deal. The composite video output is fantastic. Because you can pickup small video monitors like the ones off broken car DVD players for a couple bucks at your local Goodwill or other second hand store. This makes for a very cheep, low power, portable device.

Very true. But they also have a few lcds that are 40-50 bucks that use the 40 pin connector for direct connection to A13-OLinuXino boards. So the output is not a huge deal for me exp when I am using it as a little repeater or sdr server just for fun.
