I haven't heard anything on 171.625 (Ozark National Scenic River ways) is a while. Heard they went digital but that is unconfirmed.

Thanks - I am already monitoring all the moswin sites in the vicinity. I think what you are hearing are the MO State Park law enforcement. They use the moswin system.

thanks again

This is getting very frustrating! I have a 996xt and cannot figure out how to monitor NPS - mainly "Ozark National Scenic Riverways". I was able to hear them just fine for years on the listed freg in RR. Now nothing!
I am monitoring all the Moswin sites in range however NPS is Federal. I'm sure they are not on Moswin.
Any help would be appreciated as I live less than five miles from the park.

Thanks,

Nick

Try and search the 162-174 for a few weeks, maybe they changed frequencies

Found this:

NPS PEPC - Rehabilitate and Upgrade Radio System to Narrowband Digital

Its dates 2011 but maybe the upgrades were completed recently. Who knows... I agree though that you need to start doing a search. That is going to be the quickest way short of getting another local who has already found it to tell you. If your radio has close call/signal stalker maybe you could get close to one of their tower sites and park for an hour or so.

Thanks to ksmoscanner - the link did offer some insight but still no solution is clear. Being new to the 996xt probably isn't helping either.

The Natchez Trace Parkway, is a part of the National Park Service. They have been on satellite for about 5 years, and cannot be picked up by any scanner,

As far as NPS - Ozark National Scenic Riverways (Eminence) try the listed 171.625 mhz. They use non encrypted as well as encrypted transmissions. Also I picked up 172.575 mhz non encrypted in use as well.
151.205 MHZ is being used for MO state highway patrol as well as park rangers. It's a Repeater located in Eminence with which provides non digital coverage for the area.

These are for Arrowhead (Ozark National Scenic Riverways) near Eminence. Most comms are in the clear.

Thanks, :)

I did find a document a few years ago, that indicated there were 7 Repeater Sites
Sadly, no Freq info was part of that document for the P25 use
