If anyone lives in Central and Eastern Nebraska or Western Iowa. There is a very good yahoo group called Omaha NE Weather. They are very good with issuing Watch and Warnings.

Isn't all of that data readily available on the web directly from the NWS? Why would a person need to be part of a Yahoo! Group to get it?

I think he's saying individuals in that group issue their own watches and warnings outside of the NWS... Every professional meteorologist in the world is against that practice.

It's one thing to say "there is no official warning for this storm, but I think it might have a tornado." It's another to issue "John Smith Tornado Warning." I think that causes confusion and can result in loss of life...
