The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

NX-3320 Channel misalignment when channel knob changed while radio is off

On the NX-3320 I've seen an issue where if someone changes the channel while the radio is powered off then it becomes out of sync with what channel the radio is actually logically on when the radio is powered back up. To fix you have to turn the radio off and manually select the channel the radio thinks its on. Is there a setting within KPG-D3N to keep this issue from happening? The NX-5300 doesn't appear to have this problem by default.

Do you have the stopper installed on the channel/group select knob?
Do you have only 16 channels programmed per zone?
Do you have the "16 channel zone/channel selector" setting checked?

But, yeah, that's a challenge. My NX-3400 will do the same thing. Usually it doesn't matter to me because I don't rely on the numbers under the knob, I look at the display.

No channel stopper installed.
Less than 16 channels and only 1 zone.
No, the "16 channel zone/channel selector" setting is unchecked.

Same.. I have one particular user that is complaining about it.. channel voice announcements are also on but user still doesn't seem to be happy about this scenario.

Check 16 channel/zone selector and your issue will be fixed

Uncheck 'rollover' too. If you have less than 16 channels in the zone, and 16 channel/zone is checked, it will start over at one when you get to the last channel.
It's not my way of doing things, but we do have one customer that insisted that everything be in one zone-all 60+ channels. They have to keep spinning and spinning the knob to get to all of them...
