I have a pi-star that I'm currently using for a DMR hotspot and have no issues. However, I also have a NX radio and I'm trying to setup the NX mode using the pi-star. I can set it up on a reflector where I can hear, however, I'm not able to transmit. How would I go about setting it up where I can connect to each individual TG or reflector?
I've tried to connect to several different ones, It's telling me NXDN Network TG and showing what I'm connected to but it won't tell me that I'm connected to anything. I have them setup as a group call. Is there something I'm doing wrong somewhere?

hello,
did you adjust your tx-frequency? Mine (nx-320) was ~400Hz off and didn't work. Did you add your TG to the radio and applied for a nxdn id?

I understand that I will have to assign a talk group to one channel thus having multiple channels for my pi star, meaning one TG per channel. I'm having trouble figuring out how to set the tg group up on a per channel basis. Can you help?

What type of NX radio do you have? I have several of the Kenwood NX series and the Talkgroup setup ins in the NXDN portion of the programming software. More details would be helpful.

While I don't have that exact radio, I can't feature the programming being much different than the NX 210 0r NX 700/800. Just got to the NXDN portion of the software and setup your user (your NXDN ID) and your alias ( call sign). Then find the tab that list the Talkgroups, add whatever TG's to the list you would like. Now, got to the channel programming and set you TX/RX frequency to what you are using, either repeater or simplex hotspot. RAN set to match your repeater or Hotspot. Set the channel for NXDN very narrow and associate that channel to the talk group number that you entered in the TG list. Program separate channels for every TG in your list is the easiest way for me. I am doing this by memory as I don't have my programming laptop in front of me. I will look at my program later, but this should get you started. Do a You Tube search and see if anyone has any videos for that model radio.
Hope this helps
