Searching a digital search website today, I found these listings for Metro North in my NXDN search. Any idea what exatcly they are used for? I do not live close enough to the tracks or New Haven to monitor them. Here is a link to the site;

On that link, you will find a LOT more listed to Metro North.

Many railroads have added the nxdn emission to licenses. Only means they are licensed. Does not necessarily mean it’s in use.

That’s also a license. Same license registered with fcc. DFS nearly pools data from fcc. Many freqs may be licensed but not actually used. Listings on radio reference are what’s been confirmed as in use at one time or another.

Ah, ok. Thank you for clearing that up. I just discovered this site this week so I am not to knowledgeable on it.

It’s a good site with some nice perks but at the end of the day it’s all the same info that’s on fcc site. Site can be helpful finding new active freqs in some areas.
