• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

Here is something for you smart infrastructure folks out there.

I’ve got three repeaters at three different sites using convention IP linking. The sites are linked via VPN. All three are using NXDN only.

Site 1: NXR-810 (FW 4.10.00)
Site 2: NXR-1800 (FW 2.31.00)
Site 3: NXR-700 (FW 5.32.00)

Site 2 is the newest site and it seems to have an interesting problem.
If a user talks on Site 2, it passes the traffic to Site 1 & 3.
If a user talks on Site 3, it passes the traffic to Site 2 & 3.
If a user talks on Site 1, it passes the traffic to Site 3 but not site 2.

I've checked the Intersite Call options and all three are set to Unicast. I verified that the Unicast IP addresses on all three repeaters and correlate to the other repeaters and they match. Next, I went looking at the site lists and verified they were the checked between the three sites. I've looked at the channel and verified that the site list information is correct.

Is there some place else I should be checking/looking?
Since Site 1 is the oldest, is it possible that a protocol has changed and the NXR-1800 doesn’t recognize the transmission?
I've racked my brain trying to find the cause and have so far, come up with nada.

Whats ya'lls thoughts?

Did you mean "If a user talks on Site 3, it passes the traffic to Site 1 & 2." and that site 1 repeats ok to site 1, site 2 to site 2, and site 3 to site 3?

You are correct. I mistyped.
If a user talks on Site 3, it passes the traffic to Site 1 & 2.

Nxr1000 uses level 2 networking, check your routers.
That's what I was afraid of.
The 1800 will probably need to go to the shelf until I can figure out a solution. :(

Thanks for the responses.

As an update.
Evans was correct.
There was a routing issue.
What that issue was I have no idea.
I torn down all the VPN's and rebuilt them verifying the config from the initial build out and it started working.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
