Are you saying that after the updater has finished, I then have to re-program the radio with the RR CS? Darn, that makes sense too. I didn't even think of that as I figured the radio was "already programmed".


After the firmware update, the radio display was flashing and the top LED was flashing, and the display said "CLONE NC", so I just "assumed" that it wasn't successful.

Thanks; will try it again when I have that radio in my hands.

Hello,

The data structures are likely different between the two, since the RR version has different features. The best method would be to do a factory reset to clear the memory and put in default values, but I do not know if this is possible with this radio. Regardless, you need to recreate your codeplug in the RR version of the Cloning Software.

That was it.

Reflashed the RR update, got the blinking radio and "CLONE NC". Loaded up my existing RR .icf from my other radio and programmed it into the "new" RR radio. Done.

I have both radios but not the RR Firmware. I need the RR Firmware. I contacted my dealer. And they provided me with the RR cloning software, but my rep doesnt seem to understand there is a firmware update as well.

Does anyone know where i can get said firmware?
