NYC Tech/General Class Starts 1/10/2017

If you are interested in a Tech and/or General class license, a combined Tech/General class will run from 1/10 to 4/11/2017 (Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 PM) with exams being given on Monday 4/17/2017. If you are interested in attending, please email info@nyc-arecs.org for more information. There will be 10 weekly sessions with breaks for monthly NYC-ARECS meetings and of course Valentines Day (to keep you square with your significant other).

You might want to update your ARECS web page.
There is no longer a "NYC Office of Emergency Management". NYC OEM was renamed "NYCEM" and they're pretty firm about using the new name to reflect the new administration in the city.

It is also hard to see how ARECS members, or ham operators in NYC in general, could participate in RACES, since NYS OEM does not accept participants from NYC, and NYCEM (it was then NYC OEM ) shut down their RACES program something like ten years ago, and very firmly declines to restart it, or allow civilian participation in it.

Or has something changed about that?
