anyone know what vhf marine channel does the yellow nyc water taxi operates on to talk to their other taxis

They are based at pier 83 Nyc

not sure, but you can scan the marine band, probably channel 9 through 14. It's probably outdated but here's a good place to start. NYC MARITIME RESOURCES

They will be on the designated VTS channel for the area for vessel traffic control but they may use any of the Commercial channels for their own communications.

Environmental RX Only/Class C EPIRBs​

NYC MARITIME RESOURCES is a little dated. Class C EPIRBS were discontinued around 2000. The APX 6K mobiles in our trucks are programmed with all 55 VHf marine channels. I actually prefer an actual Icom or SH radio to a APX because you cant adjust the squelch, nor can you receive DSC or AIS messages. But we can go encrypted on any channel except on Ch-16

The USCG still shows the same information for 156.750 Mhz.
