the ind,bmt,irt frequencies are train line that run throughout the city. radio chatter between operators and dispatcher.

In answer to your query about the MTA frequency: 155.76 MHz, I've never heard anything on it, however maybe someone local can confirm or deny that. The railroad police frequencies you may want to monitor are: 161.295 MHz (Amtrak PD) 160.68 MHz (CSX PD) 160.56 MHz (Toss-up between CSXPD F-2, NSPD or MTA-Northern Division-MNCRRPD F-2) Years ago it used to be Conrail PDs Northeast Region frequency. 161.22 MHz (MTA-North-MNCRRPD) 160.455 MHz (MTA-East-LIRRPD F-1)
160.605 MHz (MTA-East-LIRRPD F-2) 160.83 MHz (NJTPD) 161.04 MHz (PATHPD) If there are more, I'm sure someone will fill in the blanks for you. Take care.

if your around grandcentral. its active but once your out of there its a dead freq. if your a local it kinda cool. but if your out of range. good luck. that freq is portable to portable. only about 2 watts. since vhf can't penatrate walls as good as uhf. it very limited range.

those other freqs you posted are great! i love listening to them.

hey dont forget cw school safety pd this is one of the most active freqs yet alongside sod. its 471.4125 pl 141. and cw intersection/traffic 471.1625 pl 151... downtown alliance wall street area 471.5875..more freqs pm me,,,,

maalox is right school safety citywide frequency is very active mostly school related problems. like fights, large crowds, assualts, robbery. as know that most priorty jobs over school safety CW frequency goes over to PD division frequency. if its a 10-85 you'll hear it over cw 1, cw 2, sod, and hwy.
