Just purchased a Unication G5. Will this radio not handle the 500Mhz trunk system as its not P25?

Correct. It is a Type 2 Smartzone.
Ocean County IS building a TDMA Phase 2 TRS as we speak however. It is in the database. Soon that G5 will be of good use! Please let me know if you have any other Unication programming questions etc. I am with a dealer.

It can already be put to good use with the new system as all government services along with fire marshals and coordinators,EMS coordinators are pretty much migrated over,public safety starts in 2019.
