BURTONSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- A Montgomery County police officer was shot this afternoon in Burtonsville, but police say his injury is
not life threatening.
A county police spokeswoman says a suspect was also shot about 2 p-m today, but provided few details on what happened.
The incident occurred at a park-and-ride lot at Greencastle Road and Turbridge Drive.
W*USA TV reports the officer was shot in the shoulder and the teenage suspect was struck in the chest and stomach. Both were airlifted to area hospitals.
