Hey All! What is there to listen to in Ogdensburg? What would the best recommended listening be? Obviously the database shows the usual suspects, but sometimes that does not tell the entire story. Any advice for someone new to the area?

VHF marine band radio traffic on the St Lawrence River. U.S. VHF Channel Information | Navigation Center
If you want a preview of the VHF marine traffic try our Broadcastify Massena Marine feed provided by ARS-NET:

Massena focuses on the Eisenhower, Snell and Iroquois Lock operations. Our Clayton feed that covers the River from around Iroquois Lock to Lake Ontario is experiencing intermittent audio problems after an outage during a recent storm. Unattended site and not sure when we can get there to investigate.

Our ARS-NET Adirondack area NYS DC Forest Ranger feed does cover the St Lawrence County area Whites Hill repeater:

Check the Feed Notes on any of these feeds for links to our many Rail and Public Safety feeds for Central and Western NY.

Thanks for the replies. Does NYSP hand out in the local trunks or are they VHF like listed?
No trunk system yet is St Lawrence County and most other Troop B counties but they do operate on Clinton County.
Troop D operates on CNYICC and Lewis County in addition to their VHF listings.

NYSP operates on their frequencies and is also dispatched on the local law enforcement frequencies.
There is a NXDN system you can listen to as well. If you have a outside antenna you can monitor the CNYICC system via Jefferson.
Most of the Marine traffic would be Prescott Coast Guard and other ships locally.
If you have an SDR look around there is some other stuff as well :sneaky:

The Municipal listings in the DB are quite accurate for the area. I was up there in 2022. The county PD VHF is fairly busy, not like a city mind you, but it's active. Some of the larger towns are also active on local channels. Everything is VHF High Band. So if you bring a portable, you're good to have a VHF Hi Band antenna with you.
