868.4875 is listed for the Franklin County (Columbus) site as a control channel which is correct. There is no other listing that I can find showing this frequency being used anywhere in the 50 mile radius of my location. I noticed in the last few days another 868.4875 control channel become live Post-71 Ross County units are affiliating to this new site a time or two in the last few days, I did some FCC Licensing checks on the frequency in question and found it to belong to the marcs system also in ADAMS CO. Anyone have any idea where this new site is?? I use to listen to the Franklin County system all the time, till last week, now this new site is hammering a solid signal here at the house covering up the columbus site.

This is a real mystery! Sounds like another MARCS site must have come online near where you live. Do you have the ability to drive around the area and pinpoint where the new signal might be coming from? The best way to locate this new site would be to have a DF party and find its location.

Columbus has been on one of the Alternate control channels the last
several days (I don't remember which one off the top of my head, as I
have them all programmed in the scanner so it automatically grabs the
new one when it changes). Also, with all the weather fronts rambling
through there have been band openings which may account for picking up
DX stations.

The only way to confirm what you're hearing is Adams County is to run
Trunker on it and verify the SysID and Site Number.
