not much you can do about simulcast distortion....maybe try a yagi antenna, or buy a SDS 100 or 200
ok, i stand corrected. as alwaysThe OP is in a county with 1 tower. Also, if the information listed about the Ohio MARCS-IP: Multi-Agency Radio Communications system is correct, no county around the OP's county has simulcast sites.
For what it's worth..My SDS 100 and 200 work GREAT on Ohio MARCS
The best and only scanners that will work on the MARCs and the new NKY P25 systems are the Uniden SDS100 and SDS200. Both of those scanners are amazing with the P25 simulcast systems
2. Can someone explain a little better how to set up Skywarn?
...... Now, I use a PRO-668 (which will become a WS1080 after an upgrade).
An FYI, the 'upgrade' to your 468, as of 1 March, went up $10.00.

I know this is an old thread but I'm having pretty much the same issue with the same TG. Just wondering if anyone knows what the cause is? I can hear OSP calls fine but the majority of the time the sheriff tg is trash
The answer is here: Auglaize County Sheriff Marcs Question
If you attach your configuration file, I will check it for problems. The Delaware County system on COIRS uses 800 MHz frequencies and it works OK. Since the Riverview site on MARCS uses 700 MHz frequencies and doesn't work, I suspect that under Site Options, you need to change Trunking Tables to Auto Fill. COIRS and MARCS must be setup as 2 separate systems.I just got a whistler trx-2 scanner. I live in Delaware County. I can receive Delaware County fine, but am unable to hear any Marcs traffic at all. I loaded the tower sights and frequencies. Any ideas what I have done wrong?
Thanks for the response. I have the Delaware system working fine. I can't get any response from the Marcs, not even a control channel indicator. Where is the configuration file located and what's it called? If you attach your configuration file, I will check it for problems. Here is the config file. Thanks for taking a lookConnect your scanner to your computer. Go to the Scanner/SD Card tab. Copy Configuration From Scanner Memory/SD Card. Click Yes at the Overwrite Warning. That will read the contents of the scanner and place it in the configuration. Go to the File tab, Save Current Configuration to Archive. Give the file a name and Save it. It's easier keeping track of the files with a name other than a CDAT number. In your post, click on Attach files and Open the file. It should be in the Documents folder.
