Does anyone know what radio the feed provider using? I’ve been listening to my SDS100 on the current ongoing apartment fire as well as the feed comparing and the feed sounds so much better and clearer than my radio. As I currently have it set up the voice comms come across sometimes loud and really echoeing especially w/the automatic dispatch. Is there a setting I need to manually set my SDS100 on? It just doesn’t sound nearly as clear as the one behind the feed. Thanks to anyone who’s in the know and will share suggestions.

Can't officially say what radio it is but it is more than likely a base radio vs a HH. All kind of variables come into play in yours vs theirs. If you look on the feed page you can see who the feed provider is and contact them directly.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department has the worst audio I have ever heard in 50 years of public service listening.
Many times the dispatcher is completely unintelligible. The rest of the OKC system is a little better, but the quality of the audio is all over the place. Even the feeds to the OKWIN system are bad. The only other worst audio contender is the Oklahoma County sheriff dispatch - she sounds like she's talking into one of those cheap crystal earphones. Their mobile units are OK. I wish the OKC system could sound as good as the OKWIN state system.

I think OKC fire may be trying to improve their audio lately.

If your using a scanner its going to sounds different. The radio side sounds pretty darn good.

It seems like the audio has improved just in the last several days. I'll have to see what happens when "Larry the
Cable Guy" the fire dispatcher get on the air. I think he must have the microphone in his mouth, constant audio overload.
His audio is terrible on any of the 5 different scanners that I use.

I remember when the OCFD was on UHF. The audio was excellent then.
