Sound great! I left Oklahoma about a year and a half ago. It's nice to be able to hear OCPD and EMSA again. Interesting to hear how they've linked in the new EDACS system with OCPD's old VHF repeaters.

Lets see how long they leave it patched through :)

Hopefully for a while. When Nashville switched from a similar VHF system in 2000, the switchover went quickly at first until the mobile installs started. It took nearly a year to completely switch out the mobiles. If I remember correctly, the patches to VHF didn't dissapear until early 2002--nearly two years after the switch began. Although I haven't been keeping up with all the posts on this forum, last I read the city was in the middle of switching out the mobiles.

Any thoughts on what you will stream once the VHF links are killed? Just EMSA?

Well I have been giving that some thought, figure I can dial up County Sheriff, maybe even Edmond, Midwest City, Del City, Moore, Normal, Yukon, Village, and Nichols Hills. I read somewhere they are merging in to the EDACS system but Im not aware that will be right away.. and cant remember if they are all merging or not..

That won't last. EMSA will be digital encrypted 800mHz in the near future.
Happy Scanning!

They are going to the State's 800 Mhz D.P.S. T.R.S. Moto Type II

Thanks

Thanks for posting the live feed. Out in western Oklahoma sometimes it is good to listen to what is going on in the big city and remember why I chose to live in western Oklahoma. Do appreciate the work you have done, Mightydos.

Thank you.. I will keep it up as long as I can find something to put on it in the Metro area. Glad you enjoy it.

Your feed seems to drop out after about 5 min or so, otherwise it sounds great, good backup for when the weather is wrong for listening to OKC from out here.

I listen to it for about an hour yesterday at work; it didn't have very much traffic for all 3 divisions. (Could have been a slow day though since it was Christmas)

I'm using winamp 5.32. I'll try it tonight and see if it's still doing it.

Thanks!!

Had some trouble earlier in the evening (apparently scanner got unplugged) but outside that appears to be up and running let me know how it goes.

I ran it about an hour last night without problems. Really glad to have the stream, thanks!!!

In other news Baker peak DPS has been silent, cc is still broadcasting good but no traffic at all... May be due to the holidays.
