RandyB said:Hopefully for a while. When Nashville switched from a similar VHF system in 2000, the switchover went quickly at first until the mobile installs started. It took nearly a year to completely switch out the mobiles. If I remember correctly, the patches to VHF didn't dissapear until early 2002--nearly two years after the switch began. Although I haven't been keeping up with all the posts on this forum, last I read the city was in the middle of switching out the mobiles.
Any thoughts on what you will stream once the VHF links are killed? Just EMSA?
That won't last. EMSA will be digital encrypted 800mHz in the near future.RandyB said:Any thoughts on what you will stream once the VHF links are killed? Just EMSA?
mightydos said:Well I have been giving that some thought, figure I can dial up County Sheriff, maybe even Edmond, Midwest City, Del City, Moore, Normal, Yukon, Village, and Nichols Hills. I read somewhere they are merging in to the EDACS system but Im not aware that will be right away.. and cant remember if they are all merging or not..

Because they are not on the State system yet.kb9sxk said:Why is EMSA open in OKC but encrypted in Tulsa?
