The Brandmeister network is listed, at least, in Indiana! If it’s in use here, I would think it should be in the database.

Brandmeister is a world wide amateur DMR network with hundreds of talkgroups.
Any Brandmeister talkgroup can theoretically show up on any DMR repeater or simplex hotspot that is connected to their network.
Not all repeaters and hotspots are connected to the network all the time.
Some talkgroups only appear on a repeater or hotspot when activated by a user. Other talkgroups are always active. It depends on how a particular repeater is configured.
It's mostly not listed in RRDB because it would be a giant constantly changing mess.

Here is a map centered on Oklahoma. I don't know how accurate it is.

Unless your running a truly trunked system, programming talkgroup numbers is not necessary. Simply program the freqs of all the towers in the state.

On the DMR TGIF Network I have added TG 66944 which is dedicated to Storm Chasing and Tracking. Hopefully my goal is to get this TG used for everyone to talk about storms ongoing in the US and the those out chasing. Most storm chasers are HAM's and you must be a ham to use TGIF and BM.

I am trying to get the BM TG patched to the TGIF TG as well. I literally just got involved with this so im still working on it.

EDIT: I am not sure which local repeaters are connected to the above but can easily be accessed using a ham radio hotspot which can also be used in a mobile setting and most chasers have this

Oklahoma DMR Wx Talkgroup | Stormtrack

Does anyone monitor or use this talk group? What is frequencies are associated with this talk group? Should it be added to the database? Thoughts anyone?
I am one of the team members that started the weekly weather briefings on Oklahoma WX 31408 at 8 AM CDT every Saturday morning. We also help to disseminate hazardous, significant severe weather information from the Norman and Tulsa NWS Offices as needed and whenever possible. Oklahoma WX 31408 is currently linked to 19 repeaters across the state, from Lawton to the OKC Metro area to Ponca City.. Durant.. to Bartlesville and the Tulsa metro area.. with at least 3 more in the works. This does not include the numerous "hot spots" being used by individuals. We are working to get the Norman NWS WFO set up on DMR, but it takes time to work things through the process. We do have a Facebook group set up where those interested can follow updates about 31408... Oklahoma WX 31408

This is awesome! I am actually moving to NW OKC this week and am an active storm chaser and TV photojournalist, so I'll be out quite a bit this season. I'll monitor this talkgroup this year. What DMR network is it on, BrandMeister?

I also see when I went to the Facebook group, it shows a repeater in N OKC and one in SE OKC, how well do these repeaters cover the Metro?

I'm not sure about the coverage of the repeaters but I think between the two, most of central, north and east OKC is covered... I believe there is one in Norman as well.. There is a lot of good information on the W5NOR .org website about Oklahoma DMR. And YES.. Oklahoma WX 31408 is on Brandmeister along with Oklahoma Statewide. Oklahoma DMR - W5NOR - SCARS

The N OKC covers pretty well but it seems to have network issues frequently. The downtown OKC one also has good coverage and seems more stable. I normally use the SE repeater from my house but I'm not sure how good the coverage is into the city.

A talkgroup has to be used on a DMR Repeater with the color code and the time slot, The same as on simplex Talk group color code and time slot. Just programming the repeater frequency on a DMR repeater without the repeater color code time slot and talkgroup it will not work..

I beg to differ. All I need is the frequency to program into my uniden scanner and it will receive just fine as long as I have DMR capabilities. The color code and slot will flash, but it will still receive just fine.

When listening to severe weather,
I always monitor the trackers that report to the NWS on amateur radio

In Tulsa it is known as
“Tulsa Weather”

But honestly, reception is a formidable problem when listening to the above with sometimes only
“hit and miss reception”

Another useful site to monitor is the State Emergency Management
(SEMA-3 Dispatch) DEC: 2681
on OKWIN P25 I

This TG appears to converse between county EOC’s (emergency operation centers ) and the NWS to correlate when (and if) sirens should be sounded..

When the last storm moved through Tulsa with the heavy winds, I heard on this TG direct discussion between the NWS and Tulsa’s EOC when and which specific areas that they were going to sound the sirens.

It was a very helpful TG to monitor.
