Oncor West Texas

Does anyone ever hear traffic on this system? I haven’t heard anything, and I thought I would hear something during tonight’s storm. I do have a lot of the sites avoided, but I thought I had all of the pertinent sites remaining.

I heard some very sporadic traffic when I was out there and initially mapping the system as the sites came online. Someone in other threads said that they use LTE on their radios primarily and not so much LMR.

Also check these frequencies. I hear somebody on 939.975 NAC 293 simplex occasionally. I haven't been able to positively identify it as Oncor.

Oncor began encrypting their whole network after moving to P25P2. Some non-sense about homeland in-security ... Here they don't even use the system. Sulphur Springs has three portables sitting on chargers with the display cover from the factory still attached.
