I give up , I've tried everything I know ,,, opened ports through my router , set it to allow within firewall , configured the software with that no-ip and mine just will not work.....something is still blocking the ports......
My firewall is managed by Norton, not by Windows. Are you using Anti Virus Software?

While we are testing connections, could somebody try mine at:

mms://nwohio-livescan.dyndns.org:8080/

It's working ok locally but I don't think it's getting out to the network. I am using Windows Media Encoder for the broadcast.

I think I may have gotten my ports unblocked, the canyouseeme.org is showing a service on 8080 now, if somebody is available to try:

mms://nwohio-livescan.dyndns.org:8080/

Or also try to link from the web server:

http://nwohio-livescan.dyndns.org/default.html

Give me a heads up if anybody can get through via either method.

Fmon you ever get your server going , I gave up !!

Try disabling all hardware and software firewalls (temporarily of course) and see if that works. Then turn on the software firewall and see if it still works. If yes, then check out your router settings. If no, check the software firewall settings.

Also, if your router is set up as a DHCP server, this might prove aggrevating when forwarding ports to the streaming computer. The streaming computer's IP address MAY change periodically and will nullify the settings in the port fowarding section of your router because the IP addresses do not match now. Check you streaming computer's IP address by opening up command prompt (in Accessories) and then typing in IPCONFIG and hit enter. Make sure this IP address matches what you have in the Port Forwarding section of your router.

Either a firewall is blocking those ports or the router is not properly configured to foward the proper ports to the proper computer. You probably already knew this, but I am just suggesting that whenever you troubleshoot, do so methodically.

Putting in mms://nwohio-livescan.dyndns.org:8080/ works just fine but your link doesn't.

Boy it sure would be nice if you left that feed up. I have tried everything to get Toledos system from Findlay here and I'm just not having any luck.

I've tried all that except the DHCP server you mentioned , my modem config has one called a Private LAN DHCP (which can be disabled) it also has a Public DHCP which is NOT on. ????

Yes. This problem happened about a month ago, and I was getting indications of problems with Norton IS so removed and re-installed Norton. Fixed the problem then and again this time.

Your Internet Service provider can block any port it wants to at any time.

They have programs that scan for port and bandwith use from individuals and system wide. If Easystream is becoming more popular and everyone must use the same port settings it MAY trigger some ISPs to block certain ports to preserve bandwith.

Just thinking out load here.

If possible, those with problems should try using non standard ports, and test with that.
