ERT/TRU comms

I think it would depend on what was happening, for example I would think a missing person search would be done on an OPS freq, (which I have heard before) and something a bit more sensitive / has a need for its own channel would be done on the conventional channels or a TAC. You wouldn't want communications at a standoff being interrupted by somebody running a plate check, IMHO. I'm not 100% sure though, just my $0.02.

ERT are regular officers with special training who are deployed to calls during their normal working shifts. Since they're driving regular cars and using regular radios, they usually just switch to the OPS channel or the TAC channel.

TRU teams are generally on their own simplex channel or repeater and rarely show up on OPS or TAC channels.

CISO channels are used by surveillance teams and not used for incidents. You'll hear a mix of analog, digital and encrypted voice. Generally I find most comm's are digital but not encrypted.

We had a surveillance team in the area a couple of nights ago. They were using a mix of P25 clear and encrypted on a CISO channel. They spotted a guy who was wanted on a warrant and called in ERT and TRU to apprehend him.

ERT and K9 used a TAC channel while TRU was never heard.

Okay.. Forgive me if this a dumb question or if its been answered already, but if they were to call in TRU, or ERT, Would they would probably use 410.1875 for their ops? i'm also curious if they would use the same channel in southeastern Zone 2? or would they simply switch to a TAC TGRP?

I would be monitoring SIM 11
