Hello. Looking at NYCOMCO EDACS, Washingtonville PD is shown to be TGID 500. I hear them on something called POLICE 800. would like to know what police 800 is.

Good evening. Police 800 is used to talk to Orange County 911 police dispatch when Washingtonville PD does not have it's own dispatcher and is dispatched by the county. You would also hear them on the Priority talkgroup talking to the county for high priority polling calls. Also, just a heads up, you'd be better off putting a post like this in the New York State discussion forum. It would be seen by more people who could answer your question. Hope this helps.

Are you referring to having your post be moved to the New York Forum?
To do that, do not create a new thread. Instead, click on the Report in the lower left corner of one of your posts, and request that a moderator move your thread to the state forum. Someone in the area would be more likely to see it there.

If you want to basically continue with this discussion, but instead do it in the NY forum, then hit the "report" text in the lower left corner of the comments section of one of your previous posts. That gives you a text box to enter your request. That can be used to lodge a complaint about a post, or another member, so that a moderator can take a look. But since you are the OP (original poster), you can also use it to ask that this thread be moved to the NY forum, where someone in the state, perhaps in your same county, might see it and offer a comment to help. 'Cross Posting', starting more than one thread on the same subject, but in different forums, is against the rules. So, by moving this one, at your request, you'd be more likely to get local (to you) suggestions than you would here in the "New User" forum. That's because you are asking for help with a specific system and area. Comments regarding a specific area or system are more likely to get an answer in the forum covering that area.

Now, if you had a general question, about your scanner, or how to program it, then the New User forum is appropriate for you. As you gain experience with your scanner, and have a question on how something works, then feel free to use one of the forums for your specific scanner (Uniden or Whistler, for instance).
