Has anyone ordered parts from Uniden recently? Can you still do so?
I need to get a replacement clip for the battery cover on my SDS-100 and I don't need to send in the whole thing for one small part I can replace on my own bench.

Not a direct answer, but I would order one of the aftermarket clips instead. The Uniden one will break again.

Probably be better off getting the higher quality ones on Ebay

If you really want an OEM version PM me. I replaced mine with one of the aftermarket type and can send it to you.

And as promised, the eBay one Bob linked works beautifully. Nice, hefty replacement.

I have the same problem with mine. Sigh.

Buy it from the eBay link above. You won't regret it.
I got it from that 2nd ebay link and it went in easily.. I'm REALLY hoping the original one from the factory wasn't carbon fiber and broke so easily The one I got from ebay claims to be carbon fiber. So far, so good.

The original parts are injection molded plastic. The replacements are all 3D printed and there are a variety of filaments that can be used. From my friend who does a lot of 3D printing, PLA and PLA+ are very strong.

Also there were two versions of the factory clip. They were changed several years ago.
