An emergency meeting of the Board of Directors has been called tonight at 6:00PM to discuss the current Crisis state of the Osage County 911 center.
A recent and abrupt change in their willingness to dispatch the ambulance district according to established policy and procedures was sent to us yesterday that may require immediate action by the Board of Directors.
This meeting will be open to the public and held at the Ambulance District headquarters.

The Osage Ambulance Board of Directors during an emergency board meeting tonight, voted unanimously to enter into an agreement with Gasconade County E-911 to handle dispatching services for the Osage Ambulance District until a time when Osage County 911 can adequately meet the needs of the District.
Work will begin first thing Thursday morning on radio and equipment programming to allow a seamless transition to Gasconade County and services could be switched as early as mid-day.
Gasconade County 911 has committed to provide highly trained and internationally certified emergency medical dispatchers to the ambulance district and follow all established procedures to ensure the closest ambulance base is dispatched to calls and adequate ambulances are available for district coverage.
