Osage County-wide EMS

The future of EMS in Osage County...

While I was speaking to an EMS director for one of the services near Tulsa yesterday, He mentioned that He met with several other directors and some representatives from the Osage Nation earlier this week about the Tribe starting a Osage County-wide EMS service.... He said they have had this in the works for a year or two know; He was saying it will operate primarily out of Pawhuska, replacing Central Med in the North and Western parts of the County, and operate in the South part of the county as well: Barnsdall, Skiatook, Prue, Hominy, etc.

It will be interesting to see where this goes in the next year or so! County EMS is the way to go, in my opinion!

What about Pawnee County?

I wonder what will happen to Pawnee County, as we are also currently serviced by Central Med?

I got to see a handout from the Nation today; the name of the tentative program is the "Osage Emergency Service Trust Authority". The propsed service area would include all of Osage County, parts of Washington Co, and those parts of Pawnee Co. and Kansas that are service by central med.

Also in the booklet is a plan to some how incorporate the Fire depts spread across Osage Co..... it will be interesting to see how that works, and how much $$, if any will be distributed among them!
