anyone hear it thats on radio reference? im curious as to who has heard it where and how strong they are getting it.... I wish i got all the iaru reports on this one!

Somewhere I have a recording of the old Soviet "Woodpecker" OTH on the HF bands, from the late 70s I would guess. It was pretty annoying.

I remember the Russian OTHR back in the late 70's,
I was on an aircraft carrier in the Med in 78 and it
was tough running phone patches back to the US.

we (ZM4A (club)) came across what i think was a chinese one at about 0300 (nzdt) during the oceana contest. we had the vol turned up to get faint signals . friggin thin just abiut blew my eardrums out
