Does anyone have the initial fire dispatch call on the Palisades fire? I heard it but did not record it. I'm writing a story and would like to reference it. Thanks.

I want to stop a rumor circulating on some forums claiming it took the LAFD 2 hours to arrive on scene following the initial report of the Palisades Fire. I tried to find out using a Google search by did not come up with anything. Do you have any idea of the time of the first dispatch and arrival of the initial attack resources on scene?

I went to V 1 on Broadcastify, And I think I understand what you are talking about, I hear someone shuffling some papers then ,I hear a tone activation, then after that I hear what I believe is someone trying to speak, but they don't hold the ptt down long enough.

The call is timestamped on PulsePoint at 10:30, dispatched on LAFD 7 at approximately 10:32, and Light Force 69 provides the first formal size-up on LAFD 5 at approximately 10:48. Light Force 69 might have been on scene as early as approximately 10:44 on one of the LAFD Tacs, but it is difficult to isolate a single incident on the feeds streaming all incidents in the city that were happening at the same time. The approximate times could be off by a minute or so due to feed delays.

The on the ground tactical communications are simplex using the CDF Tacs. In Sentinel, they are located under Statewide > Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) > Statewide - Tacticals. I have no clue how they would appear inside the scanner itself.

CDF Tac 26 and 27 are all being used on the SE flank. Keep in mind that simplex means radio-to-radio with no repeaters, so your reception may not be great.
@tufa720 expanding on Spitfire's note above, the SE side of the fire will be Branch 1, Divisions C (W Sunset Blvd to 14th Street) and F (14th street to PCH. North of Sunset up around the NE corner of the fire (Mandeville Canyon etc.) is Division A.

Division C is on CDF Tac 26, 151.475 tone 192.8
Division F is on CDF Tac 27, 159.2925 tone 192.8

I'm listening to Los Angeles - West County Interagency Fire and it sure sounds like someone is delibarately "stepping" over their coms.
Ok this just confirmed my suspicion the 1st night of the fire on LAcoFire V1 it was constant interference from the jammer I was just wondering if the IC heard it or not. It was bad out there
