does anyone know how the mutual aid channels are assigned throughout the state. im trying to make a mutual aid scan list and just want my counties mutual aid talkgroups.

I believe that the LE Common and Regional Govt talkgroups are by region. As far as I know, regions by county are based on SCHP troops - ie Region 1 is Richland/Lexington/Sumter/Lee/Kershaw/Clarendon, Region 2 is Laurens/Newberry/Greenwood/Saluda/Edgefield/McComick/Abbeville, and so forth.

LE Common and Regional Govt groups above #7 are assigned as need/as requested.

Mutual Aid groups are assigned as needed/as requested.

Just monitor all of them you never know when you will here some one on them there state wide talk groups.

SC Reg Govt 1 is for the midlands counties only, so you don't need the others. However the SCMA and LE COMMs, like Hamradiobr549 stated, keep all those programmed in as they are assigned as needed (except SCMA 9 & 10 for football games) so you never know who might be using them.
