Parkersburg radio problems

Parkersburg PD is back on the 800 mhz freqs
Have been on the old 800 system since the 23rd.
Heard that a lot of officers are having problems with the Johnson HTs.


856.9625 860.9625
are the 800 mhz freqs

155.490 p-25 is still being used 10% of the time

The Fire dept is still on 153.785 p-25

Did the officers mention what kind of problems they are having with the Johnson HTs? I suspect that its some sort of audio/reception problem?

Yes RX cutting in and out every once in awhile and TX doing the same.
Not good when you depend on the radios for public safety.
Columbus Ohio tried the same hts for a week and decided to go to Motorola for the same reasons.
